Boho Style Bedroom : Working On It Again

So if you remember several months back I started a Maya project that is really big for me and that is my Boho Style Bedroom. I had hit a block on it as I was adding in all the decoration and was becoming extremely frustrated with the entire project because it was becoming very time consuming and with school happening I just said whatever and put it on the back burner.

After being able to work with shading and lighting now I've decided to pick back up on the project and I have actually added a few more pieces and my first lit candle. I don't have a render of that just yet but I will be working on adding a few lights to the scene to light it up some and get a good render of the scene to add to my empty portfolio.

I thought I would update everyone with how it was coming though and post a few updated snapshots and talk more about it and what my next few goals for the scene is.

As you can see I have taken the time to add a wood floor, which was a project itself and then imported to the file and adjusted as needed. The sheets and pillows are the only things I have actually spent time beveling and working with because I needed to have an idea on how to lay it out with the bed. They were also imported into the scene and also I used a few reference pictures from the originally idea and a school project. The pillows were loosely based off a school project for help.

This is my first candle made and the little sphere you see inside is my light. I tested this out with a render and it does do a good job on lighting up this area appropriately as if the candle was lit. More adjustments to this will come later as well as added hue to it to give it a realistic candle feel to it. Most of the adjustments will come with I finalize the scene and bring it to Substance Painter to bring the scene to life.
