When Things Go Wrong - 2 Hour Apple Care Call
So last night I was playing Thief Simulator on the Windows side of my Mac. It's a really fun game and I did have some game play footage. Now I don't.
I went and got my girlfriend from work and came home, watched TV, we had dinner, went to bed. When I came in to get the bed ready for her, turn on the electric blanket, all that jazz, I noticed that my laptop was off. I figured it went to sleep like it usually does and instead, it was updating.
Now I know I have turned off the updates for both iOS and Windows because the school advised that.
Why it was updating is beyond me.
It got stuck in a never ending "Please Wait" loop and then today gave me an error that my desktop on the Windows Partition was gone. It had either be deleted or moved. COOL.
Called the school, talked to Apple Care.
2 hours later and nothing was fixed.
Because I haven't gotten in my portable hard drive, I don't have a way to back up my computer. So with that said, I have to wait till I get that, back up my computer, and then I have to factory reset my computer and start all over with it. Which is not what I wanted to do AT ALL.
So that's going to be fun.
On a lighter note... Thanksgiving break is this week. I have the 22-25th off. Not sure how that will go with class but hey...it's something.
So I lost time today for school work, will have to figure out how to catch up on that because it's all due tomorrow. Yay. Not.
