Finished Assignment with Multiple Complications - Furious Blog Post
I. Am. Furious.
So after all that stupid AppleCare screwing up my laptop and now my hard drive doesn't want to function properly with 100GB lost in limbo, none of my programs want to function properly. None of my Adobe programs function properly, Maya is now 300x worse than my already known issues, RenderMan doesn't work within Maya. My Sims 4 game runs weird and wants to lag. I'm just furious.
So I have spent nearly all day just trying to get RenderMan to function. When I finally got that to work within Maya, trying to do a batch render then gives me a million and one errors. It wouldn't even render a single picture for me. I followed the demo the teacher gave us step by step multiple times and nothing worked. I made sure all my settings were exactly the same and it just wouldn't function properly.
More than likely, I probably didn't do over half of my school work properly because of the issues I was having. Let alone, I couldn't do the batch render that was expected of us.
Yesterday the student support emailed my instructor with what happened as well as I emailed today with what happened and I never heard back, as well as my issues with RenderMan and how it kept giving me error messages but of course it is not only the weekend but the end of the month so why would I expect any reply...there's one downfall of attending online.
I have got to get my MacBook fixed, and get all this taken care of. I'm just up to my eyes in frustration. Next month is Fundamentals of Art II, which all that unlocks tonight at midnight so I may get a head start on everything once it unlocks so I'm not behind because these next few weeks are going to be awful with moving, my girlfriend's surgery, and so on and so fourth.
On the bright side, I am almost done with my first full year of college despite being a sophomore now. I started school in February which is right around the corner.
I might as well just game a little. I did record a speed build so I could edit that and everything and get that uploaded and possibly record another speed build. I'm also considering drawing some as well and recording that. I just need to do something other than stress related crap right now.
