Mid-Week Catch Up - Wednesday

It's been a heck of a week.

Monday before lecture we had power outage. I was just three minutes away from class starting. I was irritated beyond anything. I decided to go ahead and just go out. No point being stuck in the dark for God knows how long waiting for power in the middle of Fall in Pennsylvania. Came home and the power was on. I was excited to watch lecture and get ready for this week and yesterday, Tuesday, begin on my weekly assignments. Well, what do you know that the internet wasn't working. During the power outage, the internet apparently got shot as well. Day three now and still no internet. So I am having to work off my mobile hotspot that has absolutely no upload or download speed because it's at 3G Speeds so I am basically just a sitting duck. Which isn't a good thing because Friday morning I'm supposed to be heading out to Oaks, PA for ThyGeekdom Con that I am working at for this weekend. Basically, I have lost days that I honestly didn't need to lose.

My currently course is Project and Portfolio I and I'm in week two. This week is working on Milestone 2 of my scene I have had to build, and upload stuff to our 3D Arts Forum account for school. If you want to see what I am referring to with my project, click here for the direct link to the image.

Pretty cool right? Because I don't have the internet speeds I would like (because going from 5G to 3G is legit the crappiest thing in the world) I can't just embed some photos of what is happening this week. HOPEFULLY I will have the internet up and working after this weekend because I would like to be able to attend class on Monday and be able to work at my fullest and not having to half ass everything.

Oh, disclaimer...I have language. Minor, so no worries about the f bomb dropping or something like that. I will make sure to block that out.

With that being said, let's talk about this weeks assignment, Milestone 2. Last week I had to build the scene from ground up, blocking out every object in the scene. We had to pick a reference picture given to us by the instructor and go from there. I chose this nice pretty bathroom scene to do and so far, I have been passionate about the amount of detail I have put in the scene. This week we are going beyond the block out and ACTUALLY adding that detail in. So my wicker basket will now look like a wicker basket instead of the cylinder that was just made to look like a basket and hallowed out.

So with it being 4:19 PM EDT, I will need to start working on my scene because I am SO FAR BEHIND.
